Procedure for Admission

Applicants desiring admission should submit the following documents:

  1. The application form duly filled and signed.
  2. Original copies of the applicant’s certificates and mark lists showing the complete record of his/her academic achievements.
  3. A Personal statement giving evidence of his/her experience of conversion, commitment to Christ and call to the Christian ministry.
  4. A Medical certificate from a qualified medical practitioner on the prescribed form.
  5. Letters of Recommendation from:
    • The pastor of the church in which the applicant is currently a member.
    • A responsible person not involved in church work(e.g. a teacher or a former employer).
  6. A statement giving full details on the prescribed form regarding financial support including a letter of sponsorship from the sending body or sponsor or parents. All correspondence with reference to admission to the Seminary should be addressed to the Registrar. All applications for admission should be submitted in the appropriate application form along with the supporting documents not later than the 31st of March.

This , however, does not include the candidates who have appeared for HSC examinations and are awaiting results. They must submit Photostat copies of their mark statements immediately after the publication of the results.

Candidates selected for admission will be informed by 15th June and without receiving the admission card the candidates should not proceed to the Seminary.
An aptitude test consisting of Bible knowledge, general knowledge and English will be given at the time of admission.

Note: Accepted students must file their documents with the Register immediately upon arrival at the Seminary.

Admission Requirements

  1. He/she should have completed 18 years of age at the time of enrolment to the Orientation.
  2. He/she should have passed HSC(10+2) with eligibility to enter a degree course of a university.

It is recommended that churches engage candidates in some form of ministry before admission to the B.D. course.

Under no circumstances will the original certificates be returned to the students during the course year. Students who want to discontinue their studies during the year, must pay their full fees for the whole academic year.

Items to bring to college

  1. 5 sets of clothes(2 sets white)
  2. 4 bed sheets
  3. 1 pillow
  4. 1 plate and 1 thumbler (stainless steel)
  5. 1 mosquito net
  6. 1 plastic bucket and a mug
  7. 1 mattress
  8. Bibles (1 English, 1 Vernacular)
  9. All certificates in original
